Rodent Proof your forklift

This is the Miller’s unconventional, yet effective method to rodent proof your forklift and other equipment. About 6 months ago, a customer called us when rats or mice had gotten inside their forklift and chewed up a bunch of wires. While we had their forklift in our shop to repair the damage, we didn’t want our rental forklift to be damaged while being used at our customer’s shop.

So, before we sent out the rental, Kam Miller made sure the rats & mice wouldn’t come near the new forklift. The red fox is a natural predator of rodents – so they’re not going to come anywhere near this smell. This easy and inexpensive tip will keep your forklift protected from costly rodent damage.

What you’ll need:

1 bottle Red Fox Urine

2-3 Tampons per forklift

Steel wire / rebar wire

Instructions

1. Grab a few regular tampons. Open them up, cut the string off and stretch out the cotton.

2. Soak the cotton in Red Fox Urine. You can find a bottle of red fox urine at your local feed store or check Amazon.

3. Wrap the wire around each soaked tampon and leave a little extra tail of wire to use to hang/position under the hood of your equipment.

4. Place 2 or 3 under the hood and behind the dash.
